About us
New Hope Ministries Polokwane is guided by the leadership of Pastors Dirk and Alida van der Schyff that served the Kingdom of God since 1994 in South Africa as church planters, speakers and missionaries in South Africa and Mozambique.
We also reach out to various African countries in sharing the gospel, training pastors and missionaries and assist in church planting, working together with various mission organizations.
Our vision at New Hope Ministries Polokwane is to take up the mandate that our Lord Jesus Christ gave us in Matt 28:19. “Go therefore preach the gospel to all the nations” and Acts 1:8 “…you will be my witness in Jerusalem (Polokwane), Judea (Limpopo), Samaria (South Africa) and the ends of the world (Africa)”.
It’s our aim to make a difference for the Kingdom of God and have started three years ago with this new project, developing congregations to become local community outreach based. At our main congregation in Polokwane we already established various methods to accommodate the community and to bring the church to the marketplace.
On our head campus we have prayer facilities in the form of a prayer garden, an academic school, an Arts and Drama school, also a performing arts theatre to accommodate the community, schools, singers, etc. You will also find an after-school care facility, a cafeteria and a youth center with games like Pool, Air Hockey and darts to accommodate our youth and keep them off the streets.
Various other outreaches form part of this ministry. We also host a Sunday celebration that forms part of a normal church service and all church activities. We strive to develop a bible distribution hub in multiple languages.
Therefore, we need to take hands with passionate, mature Christian volunteers that understand the ministry.
